For the person struggling with financial insecurity, awaiting the return of a prodigal, or facing a battle that seems already lost. For anyone who has stretched out their arms and asked: “God, where are you right now?”, this book is for you.
Standing on one side of an impossible situation, we cannot fathom what God might have for us on the other side. This book is being writing from the waiting side of the story.
This book isn’t going to tell you how to get out of the valley you’re in. It’s not going to paint a pretty picture of an oasis in the desert where if we just sing Kumbaya enough times then we’ll be able to hang on until we get to the other side or get out of the storm.
But this book WILL help you to see God in your circumstances. It WILL help you to remember His goodness and presence to give you hope that while the waiting times are tough, the God of impossible things uses them to draw us near. When we feel He is distant or still, He is working...and just you wait and see what He can do!
The Author
Allyson/ Ally Conrad is a language professor, speaker and author who delights in helping others to tell stories of God in their lives. After many years struggling with self-worth and identity, experiencing 6+ years of life in South Korea and walking in the waiting of unrequited hopes of being a wife and mother, AC Communications and Ministry, is born from the belief that the God who sees you in the waiting is working in it. I explore the hope of God's presence during seasons when answers are not yet visible.
Through my speaking ministry, substack and upcoming book, I invite you to discover God in the middle of the waiting. It is a place of faith, hope, and His presence. I believe that every season of silence is a season of growth and grace.
